Language of Instruction
Primary and Secondary Education
Most schools conduct classes in Korean.
Only Government-approved International Schools conduct classes in English.
Post-Secondary (Higher) Education
Most Colleges or Universities conduct classes in Korean.
Depending on the Colleges or Universities, approximately 15% to 30% of the courses are taught in English.
English Language Instruction is more common in graduate courses compared to undergraduate programs.
Eligibility for Foreign Students
Foreign students applying for Post-Secondary (Higher) Education Programs in Korea must meet the below mentioned qualification criteria, regardless of the educational system in their home country, to meet the requirements of the Korean education system.
at least 12 years of Primary and Secondary Education or Higher,
GPA of 60 or higher and an attendance rate of at least 80%.
